Birthday Card for friend

Hi Everyone
I have made this card for my friend Sandy at the craft club. She makes such beautiful cards I
felt I had to make a bit of an effort.
The image of flowers and butterfly was done using a pretty little stencil on velvet paper. I used Diamond Sparkle Medium paste by Imagination Crafts in the stencil.  It is a beautiful paste and really sparkles when dry.  The rest of the items in the card were bits and pieces from my stash.
Thanks for looking
Hope you are all OK

Christmas Penguin

Hi Everyone
I have just crocheted this cute little friend.  It was from a free pattern from Craftsy, they have a lot of freebies on their site so why not pop in and have a peep.
I really enjoyed making him, (no name at the moment).
I find crochet a bit hard to do these days, the old bones in my hand are playing up a bit so have to keep resting it, still with the very wet afternoon we had today it was a lovely way to spend a few hours.
The web site for Craftsy is

www.craftsy.com/patterns

there are a lot of patterns to buy as well as freebies.
Thanks for looking in

Notelets and Holder

Hi Everyone
I have just made this small pack of notelets and holder.  The holder was made just using an A4 piece of card folded and decorated up with patterned paper and bits and pieces from my stash.  I seem to be getting hooked on making the concertina type of flower with feathers. They are a bit fiddly to make but look nice.  I cut and embossed the small notelet cards and chalked over the fronts to match, then made the little envelopes to fit.
Well I really enjoyed making it, now I don't know who to give it to hahaha!! I am sure someone will get it.
Hope you are all OK, take care

Pretty little Origami Box

Hi Everyone
I have had a lovely afternoon playing with paper.
Thanks to Cardsarus blog,   I picked up the link to

www.card-making-magic.com/

Thank you Jenny.

There are some really lovely video tutorials on the site and  the tutorials are very easy to follow, trust me haha!!  I need easy.

Anyway this is the result of the origami box, I am rather pleased with it, don't know what to do
with it yet, probably fill it with sweets and give as a pressie  (or keep it myself - minus sweets haha!!)
Thanks for taking the time to look in, and always appreciate comments.
Take care

Frames and Cards

Hi Everyone
I have made two more of the frames and cards. These are for 2 of our grandsons getting married. First is Matt and Gemma on 31st August and then Russ and Lisa on 12th September.
I love the yellow and white theme I used for the other one I made.  Again the frames are from Ikea, they are a real bargain and they do look rather pretty when decorated.
Hope you agree
1st, Matt & Gemma

And then Russ & Lisa

I am now going to concentrate on getting a few Christmas cards put together, and will show them when I get that far.  I have stitched a few simple ones and now need to do something with them.
I will be back again soon,
Take care everyone

Birthday card and Wedding card and boxed photo

Hi Everyone, It has been quite a while since I last put some projects on here.
I have been very busy decorating the outside of the bungalow, garden bench and my summerhouse (workshop). I have given them all a lick of paint and now they are all clean and bright, very satisfying now that they are done.   I have fitted this all in between my dear husbands chemo, so life has been a bit hectic of late. Making the best of the lovely weather whilst it lasts.
This card is for one of my son-in-laws birthday. It was a bit fiddly doing the cards which I have coloured with my lovely Promarkers.

I have made the Wedding card and the boxed photo frame for a friend of my daughter.  Her favourite colour is bright yellow and her favourite flowers are Sunflowers.   I painted white daisies with my lovely Promarkers and pulled the petals around a bit to make them look a bit more natural.  I could find any Sunflowers so thought coloured daisies would do the job.  My daughter was well pleased with the results so I expect that's OK   Lol!!

I have another 2 Weddings coming up so I had better get cracking on them now that these are finished.
Well I hope you are all well, and enjoying this lovely weather we are having
Take care

Birthday card for a Grandaughter

Hi everyone, hope you are all OK.

I have been playing with my Promarkers and Flexmarkes over the last week or so, I now have quite a few that I have got to put into cards.
This is one of them, the image is from Daisy and Friends, a cd rom that I have just bought from Joanna Sheen. I Love it
All the images are so cute, it's a job to know which I prefer, so I think quite a few will appear on here shortly.
I have been down my summerhouse working on cards all day today, no energy for anything else. When we get to the end of a cycle of Chemo for my dear hubby, we are both so exhausted we flop around on the Saturday, it takes so much time out of our week going back and forwards to the hospital. Still as long as it does him good I don't mind.
Anyway so much rabbiting on I had better put the card on haha!!

Thanks for looking in

Fairy Tale

Hi
I have made this card of Tinkerbell . I coloured the image with my promarker pens.
I love the image as it has the other things from my favourite hobbies, i.e. Needle, Thimble and
Pin cushion.
I love sewing so thought this one appropriate.  I have glittered the wings with the adorable glamour dust, you will have to believe me as it doesn't show up very well in the photo.
I   used Spellbinders Grand Scallop dies to make the card and also all of the other backings.

I am going to enter this into

http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.co.uk      Contest  number 202 which is for Fairy tale images.

Birthday card for a Grandson

Hi Everyone
This is a fun card I have made for one of my lovely Grandsons.   He is an avid Westham Football supporter, he is only going to be 6 next week and has always been footie mad. He knew all the words to their supporters song "I'm forever blowing bubbles" by the time he was 4 years old.

Note the haircut, his dad got it done for a treat when they went to see Westham play just recently.
I don't think Charlie's mum was too pleased, I thought it was brilliant. HaHa!!   :)

When I had a clear up recently in my craft stash I came across these Jigsaw puzzle sheets, I haven't used them for ages, so I expect I will now do lots of cards using them. You know how it goes, buy it, put it away and hey presto find it again LOL!!!

Take care all, Sue x

Farmer Duck School Bags

Hi again, yes twice in one day, whatever next haha!!

These are 2 bags I made for my daughters school, she works with the little ones and her favourite
story she tells them is Farmer Duck.  I have made the big sack for her to put all the words, masks and books in, and lots of other related items.  The smaller bag is for the children to take it in turns to take
a toy and other bits and pieces home for showing to their family.  I know this all sounds double dutch but honestly it does make sense when you see it all together.  :)

I used material to do the printing on that I use for quilt labels and then rummaged my stash, I found this animal print material left from a project and hey presto we have 2 bags.

She has just phoned me and the bags have proved really popular so it looks like I am going to do Elmar the elephant, and Gruffalo just for starters.  I don't mind really, I thoroughly enjoyed making them to be honest.
Hope you like them

Old Age is on it's Way

Hi Everyone
I have made this card for my dear husbands birthday. He is not a well man but still
has his sense of humour (I Hope!!).
He knows I love him and I am sure he will enjoy this card.
I got the digital image a long time ago and cannot remember where I downloaded it. I think
it is great fun. I wish I could remember where I got it, if anyone out there has a clue I would love
a link to the site.

I coloured it with my fab Promarkers and attached the flags with twine, (even that's given up haha :)

I am going to enter it into the contest by

http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.co.uk    Contest #200

I must post this now as time is running out for the contest

Little Miss Paddy

Hi Everyone
Hope you are all well.

I have made this card using one of my favourite stamps by Lili of the Valley and used my promarkers to colour her in.  I think she is so cute and so typical of many little girls, (never the right present - I wonder what she really wanted)
I cut a base for the flower and flourishes using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles into foam, it's the first time I have cut foam with my dies and I am really pleased with the result, so shall do it again.
The flower and flourishes are from Spellbinders Positively Me set. The papers are from The Oxford Collection by Kanban, just added gems, peeloff corners and bow.
I am going to enter it into the contest that  Passion for Promarkers are doing. Contest 199

Go an have a look at  the prizes they are offering, hurry as it finishes Monday night.

Have a good weekend, never mind the weather, I am staying at home for the holiday and then  going to Shropshire and Merseyside next week for a few days.

Envelope on a Card

Hi
I have  made this card for a friends Birthday.  I just wanted to make her a card with a difference.
I made the envelope and added the 2 white rose sprays and bow. I cut a glitter doily in half and put
it into the envelope.  I am sure she would have preferred some money but the doily will have to do LOL!!!  I enjoyed doing it and will make it again and probably incorporate some stitching. I have a
few ideas in the old brain box and will get round to it sometime.

Yep!!  another round2it  haha!!

Fairy with Flowers

I have coloured this lovely fairy image with my Promarkers. The stamp is from Sleek Designs, I have used Glamourdust glitter on the wings after colouring them with the lovely pastels in the Flexmarker range. The colours are so soft, I love them.
I used part of Spellbinders die A2 Floral Ribbon Threader to cut out the card, and mounted it on paper from Forever Friends Kraft Notes stack, all fixed to the silver mesh I found in my stash, added the buttons, butterflies and flowers, also from my stash.

I am wanting to put this in the challenge by Passion for Promarkers - Button it up

Birthday Cards

Hi
As I said in previous post, here are a couple of cards I have made today.  My dear hubby has been a bit under the weather again today so I went and locked myself away playing with card, in between doing my nursing chores.
The blue card with kite is for one of my many little grandsons, he has a birthday next week and loves kites, although he's now at the age where he will be more interested in what is inside it than the card haha!!  They do love their pennies don't they. The kite pattern is from Anns Paper Arts pattern number a701
The other card is from an idea I saw in a magazine, as I love quilting I couldn't resist this one. A friend recently gave me the haberdashery dies, so I picked a few bits and pieces from the set and cut out using foiled card in a lovely dark pink, when I was making it I had it in mind for a lady at one of the clubs, it took ages to make, cutting out all the hexagons and fiddling around with it, I am not sure if I am going to part with it yet LOL!!    I will see if I can resist the urge to keep it.

Well that's all for now, hope you are all OK
Take care, and thanks for looking

Tissue Box holders

Hi Everyone
Last winter when it was miserable I was knitting loads of  gloves, hats and scarves, I think I got up to 13 or 14 sets, once I gave a set  to my daughter she picked up loads of orders for me (thanks Carol xxx)

Anyway this long miserable winter has driven me to the knitting wool again, this time it's Tissue Box holders.  I use the plastic mesh. When stitched I cover each piece on the wrong side with card to form a lining (smartens it up a bit). I sew a flap onto the bottom to release the box of tissues, keeping it in place with button and loop so that when lifting the box it stays in tact.  I have seen these without the flap so when you pick it up you leave the tissues behind LOL!!
Well it's a bit of fun, I am now on box number 5, I think I have had enough of this, back to cards I think or quilting, mmmmm?????
I think spring must be on the way, a very dear friend gave me a few bunches of dafodil buds yesterday, as I have been having a bit of a rough time lately (that's another story) well blow me down when I came into the lounge this morning every bud was in full bloom  SPRING HAS SPRUNG hurray!!!!   They are beautiful, Thank you Maureen xxx
Well that's it for now, I will add some cards in a minute so here's the boxes

Cards for men

Hi Everyone
I have been making a few cards for men today as I didn't want to go and play in the snow.
I made the Get Well soon card for my neighbour who is in hospital, I used a pattern from Erica Fortgens book Basics of embroidery on paper and then added the die  from Spellbinders die D-lite, I was rather pleased with the results.  The Pink Floyd one is for my son who is Pink Floyd mad so he should like it, and the other two are from a mens CD which I enjoyed playing with.
I hope you are all keeping warm and safe during this winter time.

Another Quillow

Hi Everyone
This is the latest quilt I have finished.   I made it for one of my step-daughters, she is taking it to her home in France.  Her and her husband have bought a ramshackle property over there and are doing it up.  As the property is now nearly complete I have made this for them as a house warming gift, she loved my other quilts that I have made so I decided to surprise her with this.  I am rather pleased with the results.  One of the pictures shows when it is all folded into a the back pocket making it appear as a cushion and the other one shows it opened up.  When I delivered it and the baby quilt just recently I picked up an order from my grand-daughter for a black and white lap quilt, backed with fleece and with purple flowers on the corner.  Well she actually gave me the money for the material so it's a pleasure to make it for her, I intend starting it this week-end.
Hope you like this one
