A few cards I have recently made

Hi Everyone
Well at last I am back. I had a stroke just before Christmas and at last am now managing to make a few cards. My daughter gave me a Thomas Kinkade 3CD set for Christmas and that has made life a lot easier to make the cards.  I am really missing the stitching ones but at last have just managed one which I am a bit proud of. The stroke was very scarey, fortunately I only lost the use of my left  side, being left handed that was a real problem. But me being very stubborn has got me going again LOL!!  I have had a lot of support from my lovely family and friends who encouraged me to keep it up.
Well that's enough of that boring stuff, I have now got a few cards for you to look at.
The first one is the one I stitched and made an origami paper bow for the centre (how good is that haha!!)

The rest are from the Thomas Kinkade cd, not my usual stitching but determination got me going with them

Oops!! the one above this is from the lovely cd Crazy Cats, the images are sooooooo cute
Hope you all are keeping well,
Hopefully I will be back soon
Thanks for dropping by
Sue xx

  1. You have done so well, your cards are lovely. The origami bow is great.
    Take care x Sally

  2. Hi Sue, How awful that you suffered a stroke! I had no idea. Your cards are beautiful. I hope you regain the use of your left side and feel back to normal very soon. Big crafty Hugs... Sylvie xxxx

  3. Lovely cards Sue, and thanks for showing me how to do the origami bow. Janice xx

  4. HI Sue,
I am so sorry to hear your news about your health. So glad you are on the mend,
I did wonder why we hadn't seen you for a while.
Love the superb cards. Wow that bow is amazing on the first card.
I have always wanted the Thomas Kincade CD, but it is just one of those things I never seem to get round to buying.
    Your cards look really fab.
Biggest Hugs to you, take it easy and look after yourself
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  5. Sue, your cards are gorgeous, well done for not giving up, you know what would happen if you did, I think a Kick up the you know what would get you moving again, but seeing as you are sooooooo Stubborn, it wasn't needed, but seriously, I am proud of you for keeping going, well done, you will get there in the end.

    Love Sue xx

  6. PS, you can't keep a good woman down, especuially when her name is Supernan Sue. xxxxx

  7. Hi Sue,
It is wonderful to see that you are making progress and are able to enjoy one of your passions, I wonder how long it will take you to have the knitting needles and patchwork out once again?
Pleased to know that you are on the mend, take it easy and do what the doctor ordered.
Oh by the way your cards are all fabulous !!
    Enjoy each and every day.

  8. Sue well done on your latest lot of cards. I am very proud of you for being stubborn and getting back to stitching. The first stitched card since your stroke looks fabulous. Keep doing as the doctor ordered and as someone once said 'You can never keep a good woman down for long' and you are a good example of that. Well done.
